COOKING WITH LOVE was born from an organic blend of the ancestral history and professional career of its founder, Mekala Love. 

Born and raised in Los Angeles, with deep roots in New Orleans, Mekala shadowed her Paternal grandmother while cooking for thousands of people across Los Angeles, and she watched her paternal grandfather take all kinds of herbs and elixirs to stay healthy. Mekala went on to pursue a career as a psychotherapist, but when her granny passed away, she found the two worlds colliding in a state of depression. Besides going to therapy herself, the one thing that lifted her back to positivity was making nostalgic dishes, working with herbs, and making elixirs herself that brought her even closer to Granny’s spirit. The most important ingredient in any dish, was LOVE. Today, Cooking with Love embodies all of the above; offering quality products such as her Famous Peach Cobbler Sea Moss, herbs, wellness elixirs, and an holistic approach to healing. Mekala is a true humanitarian, serving the community through wellness and LOVE.
